I love K-dramas. If you notice, most Hollywood and Nollywood movies are so cliche and so predictable. it’s annoying. All this was because they were the only ones putting out somewhat quality movies so we didn’t have a choice…then k-drama came and changed everything. From one story to the other, everything was just fresh and nice and mad. E.g, the newest one I’m watching is Twenty-Five Twenty-One. My God, you can’t predict what will happen and the characters are written so well that when they cry, you cry with them, when they’re happy, you’re happy with them. Omo I’m getting goosebumps writing this.

I like watching K-drama because of the diversification and there aren’t stereotypes. When Koreans use other cultures in their dramas, they actually do their research. They actually make their Korean actors speak the languages. (Even if it’s not perfect, they still try). And they don’t just pick famous places to act, they actually go deep.

K-drama is just entertaining and K-drama’s like “Forecasting Love And Weather” are very educating too. Anyone that wants to be a forecaster should watch it. I like that they do their research. Have you seen a K-drama before? The quality is above standard. I’m talking ultra HD 4k. Whether the government gives the K-drama industry its own budget or whatever, all the K-dramas I’ve watched never lack in quality. It looks so real, that I want to see it in 3d cause wow. I mean who would be able to resist watching a K-drama?

I like that they’re not ashamed of their culture. They don’t try to whitewash it. Every k-drama you watch, it’s like they push their country forward. I don’t know if it’s purposely. And I’m not saying they are the most perfect and the most patriotic country, but you can see the pride they have in their country to the point you want to be part of it. It’s not boastful like the US, just that sense of pride, don’t know if I’m making sense.

I’m the kind of person that loves love stories and Koreans act more on love stories. K-dramas potray that no matter who you are, you are loved, whether you’re rich or poor. Also, unlike other movies that look like film tricks, K-drama looks realistic.

I like it because there’s mostly good acting, at least the ones I’ve watched cause obviously they’re some that have bad acting. The ones I’ve watched have really good plots..not something that I can predict what’s going to happen next. Plus I like the language. I actually wanted to learn Korean and it helps me learn. Though it’s not exactly special cause I also watch Japanese dramas, Mexican dramas, etc I just like Korean more cause of the acting, setting, plots. it’s just really nice. Plus most of the actors are fine.
