So&U Marks 33 Years of Creative Excellence With an Interesting Lineup of Activities
SO&U, one of Nigeria’s creative agencies, will roll out the drums in a yearlong lineup of activities to celebrate its 33 years of growth, resilience, excellence, and contributions to the marketing communications industry.
Celebrating 33 years is no mean feat in an intensely competitive industry. From a little creative space established in 1990, SO&U has risen to become a respected marketing and communications agency in the West African region.
It has given rise to successful businesses across the marketing and communications sector, such as Soulcomms PR Limited, MaxiMedia Global, Lucid Audio Visuals, Vyrus, and Iris Exposures. These subsidiaries are forces in their respective sectors, offering services in digital marketing, design, media planning, research, public relations, event management, printing, and audio-visual production.
Speaking on the activities lined up to celebrate the 33rd anniversary, Chairperson of the Planning Committee, Mojisola Saka, revealed that aside from internal engagements, other activities planned for the year include the anniversary logo unveil cocktail and activation of an anniversary memory bank for the collation of photos, images, and shared experiences.
There will also be a month-long Workers’ Day and Month celebration to focus on SO&U alumni and current staff on the group and subsidiary social media handles, as well as an anniversary documentary. An Anniversary Gala Dinner will be held later in the year.
The celebration will climax with the Give Love campaign, a year-end community give-back event targeting 1,000 people through food, clothing, and household materials, and a glamourous end-of-year party that will witness the presence of past and current employees, stakeholders, vendors, and media partners as well as clients.
Group Managing Director of SO&U, Udeme Ufot, stated that the 33rd anniversary offers an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the challenges, opportunities, and successes of the last 33 years for the company.
“As we celebrate, we are mindful of what the future holds and are preparing to embrace it with the required innovation, skills, focus, and determination that will deliver exceptional value to our clients and keep us on that trajectory of growth,” he added.

It has served many influential and respectable brands across Africa and beyond, while creating a disruptive marketing masterpiece for brands such as Guinness, Diageo, MTN, Unilever, PZ, Akwa Ibom State Government, Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort, Globacom, Access Bank, Malta Guinness, Polo Luxury, Captain Morgan, and Guaranty Trust Bank, amongst others.
