FINDING HAPPINESS: 4 TIPS TO HELP YOU STAY HAPPY
We all want to be happy. We want to feel fulfilled and content with our lives. Happiness is a feeling that everyone wants to feel. It can be found in many different ways, but it is not always easy to find. This article will discuss some tips for you to stay happy in life.
WHAT IS HAPPINESS?
Happiness has a different definition for different people and the word cannot be identified through one single perspective. For many happiness is earning a lot of money whereas for many it is having mental peace through things. Happiness can be multi-dimensional and people often forget the same.
They often try to either feed others with their idea of happiness or sometimes they even ruin their presence by looking hard to find happiness. Happiness has no set rules or regulations and can be different for different individuals. For me, happiness is having a momentary feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction with a smiling face.
Tips to help you stay Happy

For a lot of people out there, as well as myself, it can be hard to find a reason to stay happy. There can be so many things that can come in the way of our happiness, and it sucks. We don’t have any control over our emotions, for example, when you hear something happy, your initial reaction is excitement and joy but if you get sad news, or something goes wrong it can make you very sad.
I think of our lives as an emotional roller coaster. Sometimes it’s going up, but sometimes it’s going way down. But fear not, I’m here to give you four(4) tips to help you stay happy. Now, this is just a guide, it may not help you, but you may find it helpful. This is just what I think might help you.
- STOP CHASING START LIVING

Stop chasing whatever you think will make you happy, and start living in the now. Many people out there feel like ‘I need this or ‘I need to do that to make them happy. Instead of actually enjoying life, they chase the idea of what they think is happiness.
Even when you think you have everything that can make you happy, no matter what, you’ll still have your ups and downs. We always try to find that one negative thing to make us miserable. Wanting something is fine, but stop chasing it and start living your life, and everything you want will automatically come to you.
- START TAKING CHARGE
Start taking action. Start being responsible. If someone is showing you attitude, be straight up and tell them. Do you want to lose weight? Start working out. Want to eat healthier? Set a new diet, a meal plan, etc. The list goes on.
Teach yourself, and commit and dedicate yourself to finding happiness, no matter how long it takes. Because one day, you’ll find it, and it’ll all be worth it. With enough hard work and motivation, you’ll be able to create the life you want.
- SET REALISTIC GOALS

Sometimes our expectations are always set really high. We always expect someone to treat us better than we treat them. We see someone on social media and begin to think that we can live up to that too. Although you can achieve anything, you always have to work for it.
It is never put into your hands. We need to accept life as it is. Stop setting that mindset of ‘what should be,’ and just accept that it’s okay to be in the place you are. When you start living without claiming something you want to be yours, or what you think is your right, every good thing that comes to you will always be a nice surprise.
Expecting nothing ultimately means never being disappointed. SO, at the end of the day, we will always hit a few speed bumps, but we’re only human, and that’s okay. You’ll always have your highs and lows, but you learn from every mistake and every success and make yourself better. That’s what defines who you are.
- YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HAPPINESS
Build off the idea that your happiness and self-confidence are tied together, it’s also true that no one else can do it for you. If you want to feel happier, you have to take those steps on your own to make that happen. Waiting for someone to come along isn’t the best route to take to really solidify a smile on your face.
Take control of your life as you can and guide yourself down the path toward true happiness based on what makes you happy. Look at what truly makes you happy, then do that. It really can be that easy.
TAKE AWAY

Consider your happiness non-negotiable — choosing to invest in your own happiness can help you develop the tools you need to live an overall more joyous, successful life. Bad times happen to all of us sometimes. No one controls your happiness but you, and remembering that you have that power can be life-changing.
